How do I install and setup the iPhone or iPad app?

Prerequisites: You need to have the desktop version of Moneydance installed and have an existing data file that you have saved at least once.

1) On your iPhone or iPad go to the app store (or open iTunes) and search for Moneydance. You can also find the Moneydance app online here, and download the extension using iTunes.

2) Install the "Network Synchronizer" extension in the Moneydance desktop application.

2a) Run Moneydance and select Extensions->Manage Extensions

2b) Scroll down to the Network Synchronizer extension and click "Install"

3) Make sure your iPhone or iPad is connected to the wi-fi network and that network is the same network your desktop is connected to.

4) Run the Moneydance iPhone or iPad app. You will see a welcome screen that displays a 48 character access key. This key contains only the numbers 0-9 and the letters A-F. The key is not case sensitive, and you should not use spaces between the "blocks" of letters and numbers. The key should be read like a book written in English- top left to bottom right.

5) Return to the desktop Moneydance app and select Extensions->"Configure Network Syncing...".

6) Click the "Add device"

7) If you get the error message "No devices running Moneydance were found" please read the following trouble shooting article:

8) Enter the entire 48 character access key into the "Access Key" box and click OK. Remember, the access key only contains the numbers 0-9 and the letters A-F. Do not enter any spaces.

9) Success!
