Upgrading Moneydance, esp. from MD2008 to 2010 (license key issues, new file format)

After a fresh install of Moneydance or updating it you may see a message box stating that your current license key is invalid, the installed version is a trial one or that you used up all 100 transaction entries - please contact support to get a new key and understand the following terms:

Customers who purchased Moneydance 2008 on or after march 28th 2008 will receive a completely free upgrade to MD 2010. This means that the new version should remain registered with your existing key.
If however you purchased before the cut off date your current license key will not register the new version. If you purchased a license earlier than the Moneydance 2008 release date (March 28th 2008, e.g. MD 2006) then you are entitled to a discount upgrade. If this is the case and you would like to upgrade to the new version we are offering upgrade keys at half price.
Moneydance 2010 will retain the same low price of $39.99 USD
