How do I specify an external hard drive for back ups (while using OSX)?
It is possible to specify the folder Moneydance uses for back ups. You can find this feature in preferences->back ups, check the "separate back folder" box and then browse to the folder you wish to use.
Occasionally, OSX users wishing to specify a folder for back ups want to use an external hard drive. It is in fact possible to do this but finding the drive in the drop down finder can seem a little counter intuitive. Your external hard drive can be found in the "volumes" folder of your hard drive.
