iPad keyboard unusable after entering split

Hello,

I've been trying out the iPad app to enter data, and ran into a problem where if I enter a transaction and enter a split for the category, from then on, the virtual iPad keyboard becomes useless - it will not respond to anything - even after quitting the app and re-opening. I have to actually power down the iPad completely and power it back up to get the keyboard to work again. At first it appeared to be a semi-random occurrence to me, but then I finally realized it happens after every transaction with a split. It doesn't matter whether I put the split in immediately before hitting Save, or whether I save it first, then go back and edit the transaction to put in the split - the problem occurs either way.

Let me know if I can provide any other info to help debug.

Thanks,
Dan

    Hi Dan

I have not been able to reproduce the problem you are describing. Can you check for updates in the App store and make sure you have the latest version of the Moneydance iPad app. If you do have the latest version could you tell me exactly what steps you took to reproduce the problem.

Yes, I have the latest - I double checked. Here are the steps:

    - Launch MoneyDance on the iPad
    - tap the + to add a new transaction
    - enter an amount
    - tap description, enter one
    - tap the blue arrow next to the category
    - tap the "add split" button
    - change the amount on the top one to a smaller number
    - change the category on the bottom one
    - enter an amount on the bottom one
    - tape Save
    - tap + again to enter another transaction
    - tap Description
    - at this point, it's impossible to add a description ... and, btw, nothing
shows up in the last of existing payee's either.

You can then even exit the app, come back in, and you're still unable to add
a description. This is not fixed until you power off the iPad, then go
    back in.

    Thanks,

    Thankyou

I can confirm that I can reproduce the problem. I have created a bug report ticket and attached it directly to this case.

I have the same problem however this occurs regardless even if the split total isn't adjusted. I put the correct amount in for each split as I go along and after saving the keyboard won't work for further activity unless I close the app. I also find that the transactions don't total first time after saving. I have to find and reopen the item before the totals correctly display.
