having trouble "canceling" reminders
I have several reminders set up for recurring bills. However, I have not yet figured out how to smoothly cancel a reminder once I have paid the corresponding bill.
For instance, I might have a reminder set up for JoeBob's Mortgage Company to be paid on the last day of each month. On August 20, I sit down to pay bills; there is a reminder in Moneydance that I have a payment due to JoeBob on August 31. I set up an online payment at my credit union to pay $1000 to JoeBob's Mortgage on August 29, and I manually enter this transaction into Moneydance. BUT, the reminder is still in my Upcoming Items reminder list. And after August 31, it moves to the Overdue list.
In my old version of Quicken, upon entering that transaction on Aug 20, I would get a prompt something like "Is this the payment to JoeBob's Mortgage Company scheduled for Aug 31?" I would click "Yes," and that reminder would be automatically removed. In Moneydance, I am using the tiresome method of occasionally comparing my reminders list against my recent transactions, and then manually "skipping" the reminders for the ones I have already paid. This is a hassle and seems wrong.
In a nutshell, I want to be able to pay my bills as I receive them in the mail, enter the transactions, and have the reminders "keep up" with me so only unpaid items are shown in the Upcoming/Overdue reminders lists. Is there a way to do this?
I am using Moneydance 2010r3 (751) on a Macbook (OSX Version 10.5.8), Java version 1.5.0_24 from Apple.
Thanks for your help.

Emily,
Online bill pay have to entered manually. After you make the payment you can click on the reminder and hit "skip transaction". This will keep the reminder from moving to the overdue column.
