problem opening software

The software got stuck. Going to other side of transaction want working. so i saved and closed, and now hwn try to open it wont open. ANd when i goto to folder where file is, it wont open it. I was running trial version. What to do i do?
Is it because of the trial version (at most 50 transactions that i put in)
And when i purchase does it activate. Or do i have to redownload?
please advise
