split transaction don't autopopulate
I have 4-5 split transactions that reoccur every month, e.g. mortgage payment that is split between principal, interest, insurance and property tax. After downloading transactions from my bank account, I eventually come across the transaction that corresponds to my mortagage payment. MD correctly recognizes that this is a reoccurring transaction and offers to autopopulate the transaction. I choose the transaction that is clearly marked as having a split associated with it. However, upon selecting this transaction, the split portion of the transaction never autopopulates and instead I have to manually reenter the info in the split window every time. Is there anyway to make it so that the split window will autopopulate as well?

I don't really do anything like that, but I know that if you set up a
reminder (scheduled transaction) you can choose when it goes in to your
register and put your splits in there. Then when the transaction get's
downloaded from your bank, you should be able to match it with the Auto
Reminder that you already set up so you don't have to type in those splits
each time.
Just an idea that you could try.

Myepiphany,
This is a known bug that we should have resolved by our next major release of Moneydance. In the meantime what TJ is suggesting should work.
Sincerely,
