I am a UK resident and have been using Quicken since early 90's.(Currently Quicken 2004) When Intuit stopped supporting Quicken in the UK I continued to use it and still am but I am very concerned at losing all of my historical and current data .
I would like to transfer all of my Quicken data (currently have about five different bank accounts) to another program but am worried about accurate transfer and using it in the UK for UK bank accounts in Stirling.
Can you please advise me that Money dance can accurately take over my accounts without loss or corruption of my data.
I still run quicken on my windows Laptop but have recently moved my main PC to Apple and would like to transfer to my iMac if suitable transfer is possible.

    Hi Peter,

Moneydance can import QIF files, which Quicken should be able to export. The file format isn't standardized or implemented the same across all programs, so it's best to download the trial version of Moneydance and see if it can import your data.

I encourage you to download our free trial version and experiment with the program before you decide if you would like to purchase it. The demo version is fully functional and allows you to manually enter 100 transactions. Imported transactions are not limited, so you'll be able to fully test connections with your bank. If you decide to purchase the program at a later date you can keep all your data, the license key simply unlocks the ability to manually enter more transactions.

For more information on how to get the most out of your trial period, check out our blog post on the subject.

Can I though download to my iMac and transfer files from my windows laptop
or should I stick with Windows at this stage?

    Hi Peter,

It would be fine to use Moneydance on your Mac and transfer the files you're trying to import from your Windows machine.

Please let us know if we can be of further assistance!
