Download Transactions

I tried Quicken for Mac and hated it. I started from scratch for 2009 transactions and have spent the last couple of weeks recreating my financial records from scratch. I'm just about done and am now working on downloading current information. Every time I download from my credit union prior transaction that I downloaded and accepted are duplicated. How do I get this to stop?
Also, how do I get the down loaded transactions to memorized my prior split categories? For instance...my paycheck defaults to ATM withdraw when it is downloaded from bank.

Moneydance downloads all the transactions the bank offers. After you go through and accept the ones with the blue circle, they shouldn't download again. It takes a little bit to "catch up", but once you do, you should only get the new ones. If you delete the ones with the blue circle before you accept them, they will come back on the next download.
Moneydance "learns" from how you categorize transactions over time. It should get better, the more you correct the downloaded transactions.
