I am considering your product and have two questions:
1. Can I transfer/import my financial data from Quicken Essentials for Mac?
2. Will your product produce reports for monthly income and expense? Specifically, I wish to report for the year (or any number of months) my monthly income and expenses by category.
thanks, ron

I used QEM on one machine and installed MoneyDance on my test machine. When launching MD it asks if you want to import QEM and which file to use. This works if QEM is on the same machine and you saved your QEM file to your "Documents" folder. What I've discovered by looking at my machine with QEM installed the QEM file appears as one file. It is actually a package containing the folder and files you mentioned. Right click the original file on the machine QEM is installed and you will see an option "Show Contents". Very similar option to apps located in your Application folder. Copying that "file" over to my test machine reveals a folder structure with the parent folder having the name mark.quickendata. Having this folder in my Documents folder on my test machine made MoneyDance aware of it, and I was able to import everything in one go. I did notice on my 529 accounts, they showed a zero balance. This may be caused by a limitation in the demo. I hope that helps.
