I am trying to import transactions for a credit card from an excel export from Quick Books. I have added all the categories as noted in MD in a column but when I import, they are lost. What might be going wrong and how can I make it work. I have about 1000 transactions from this past year to deal with.

    Hi Dav,

It is my understanding that the built-in importer in Moneydance does not yet handle the 'Category' field of CSV files.

There is a free, third-party CSV importer designed specifically for Moneydance that does allow for the 'Category' field.

You can download the CSV Importer directly from the developer's website here:
    https://github.com/stant/mdcsvimporter2015/releases

There is a 'How to' at the bottom of the same webpage.

If you need help with setting things up, let me know and I'll try to lend a hand.
