MD "updater" messaged to update to a version lower than what I have

MD updater flashed a message on startup that I should upgrade (free) to MD 2017.8. I am running a higher number - 2017.10 (1702) that you helped me install to fix an earlier problem.

MD is stable except for my months old problem with security prices posting and then disappearing from the price history when I reboot MD - on a separate thread under "hovey". That problem existed before the update to 2017-10.

Should I go back to 2017.8?

    I'm a fellow user.

I believe there is an error in the version stated by the updater.

Moneydance 2017.10 (1706) has recently been posted as the latest stable release.

There are further prices fix in build 1705.
