I was reading the guide regarding customizing the check # field. I followed the tip but could never get it to worked "Tip: To customize the values in this field, select the Account → Edit menu while on the home page." I tried closing the file and reopening and it finally worked. You might include this step in the tip to eliminate frustration.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I have filed a bug ticket reporting that the program needs a restart for the changes to the check # field to take effect.
