You've entered a couple lines of a split transaction. you think you're done. (Keyboard shortcuts to START a split SEEM to work but not always) I wish to record the transaction, so "tab" to the "Done" button. The button sort of looks like it's active, but hitting the "return" key doesn't enter the transaction. The ONLY way seems to be to use the pointing device (remember, I'm on the keyboard. This functionality needs work.

    Hi Eric,
When focus is moved to the 'Done' button, hit the SPACEBAR.
CTRL-W will also close the Split Window as will ALT-F4 (in Windows) I don't know what ALT-F4 does on a Mac.

I still have my eye on this issue. I have made conscious attempts to use the shorcuts, as advertised, and I wish I could laser in on why it ALMOST works, but not quite. I keep having to reach for my mouse - and I hate that.

Here's more - an extremely frustrating sequence:

Type in a description which opens up a “split” screen for a regularly used transaction.

Enter “Alt” + “D” to delete first split which is not germane to current transaction.

Would like to now edit the amount for the next line of the transaction which is germane to this split. Pressing ENTER, or TAB, or SPACEBAR results in nothing. It seems the ONLY way to get to the line I now wish is to use the mouse – FRUSTRATING, I want to stay on the keyboard

    Hi eric.klanderman,
When the 'Split' window opens, the first Split (the one you don't want) is in Edit mode.
Hit ESC to get it out of Edit mode.
Hit DELETE > ENTER to accept the delete.
The first Split is deleted and focus is moved to the next Split.
Hit ENTER to put the next Split into Edit mode.
Granted, too many key strokes but it is a mouse-less solution.
