Date last reconciled/changing entries that have been reconciled

I've been using Moneydance for several months, and love it! I would like to begin recommending it to my bookkeeping clients, but 2 issues are preventing me from doing that:

1) It seems as though when I go back in to modify a transaction that has already cleared/been reconciled, I am able to do that without any alerts or warnings that I might be about to do something I could very well live to regret, and

2) The first screen for Reconciling Accounts does not show the date for the previously reconciliation/reconciled statements.

Am I missing something here? Any plans afoot to address either of those issues?

I am just another User of Moneydance. I have been using Moneydance since 2002.

Response to your first subject matter:
That's odd. I just tried to change the dollar amount in an already cleared transaction and a "Question" box appeared stating "Warning: This transaction has already been marked as "Cleared". See attached screenshot Picture 5 .

Response to to your second subject matter:
It doesn't have to show the date. It already shows what the "Beginning Statement Balance" is, which ought to reflect what the "End Statement Balance" was the last time that you Reconciled your ledger. See attached screenshot Picture 4.

    Side note:
I suggest that you download, merge, and reconcile your account/s frequently. About every couple of days or so. Further, once you get into that habit, there is no longer any reason to Reconcile your ledger against any "Paper Statements". If you try to Reconcile from a "Paper Statement", you will often times mess up how Moneydance tracks your Reconciled Transactions and most of the time the "Paper Statement" Beginning and Ending balances won't match up to Moneydance anyway, and that is perfectly normal.
