I see you have capital one (non-credit card) support in online banking, but do not have Capital One Credit Card support, which i would like to have. Is there something specific i can do to help this support get in there?

Thank You,
Rob W

I have a Capital One Credit Card.
Capital One Credit Card division of Capital One Corporation does not provide OFX Direct Connect to their customers.

This is not a Moneydance decision. This was a Capital One Corporation decision.

You will need to manually download and import your Capital One Credit Card transactions.

    Rob,

James is correct. As a Capital One card holder myself I wish they would institute this feature, and if they do so we'll definitely start supporting that connection. At the moment the best way to get your transactions into Moneydance is to use a web browser to download them from your bank's web site.  You can download into QFX, QIF, OFX or OFC files (sometimes referred to as Quicken or MS Money files), any of which will import cleanly into Moneydance.   You can also open your bank's download page directly (after entering the appropriate address in the Account->Edit Account menu) by going to the menu bar and selecting Online->Open Account Website.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance,

Thanks - I actually read this in another more appropriate forum (when i corrected myself) first - then i contacted capital one online chat support, and the person i chatted with didn't seem to have any idea what an 'OFX' was much less what a direct OFX connection would do.

I understand the problem, just wish i knew who to push the issue with at capital one with.. I figure if enough people push the issue they might implement it if they already implemented it for their bank (non-credit-card) accounts.

What's in my wallet? Huh, what's not on my bank's website!

A Secured Card cannot be converted to an Unsecured Card. If the customer asks about moving from Secured to Unsecured, inform him that currently there is no graduation plan in place; however, inform the customer that if he ever closes his account and pays the balance in full, his security deposit is fully refundable. In addition, the customer can always apply for an Unsecured Card separately.

Capital One does indeed support direct OFX connections for their credit cards. I routinely click on "Update Transactions" in Quicken 2009 and download my Capital One credit card transactions directly into my register.

If there is anything I can do to assist with adding this support to MoneyDance, I would be happy to help.

Capital One Credit Card Services does not offer OFX Direct Connect service. I know, I've been a Capital One Credit Card holder for some years now.

Quicken 2009 is using a feature known as Web Connect to retrieve transactions from your Capital One Credit Card account.

Web Connect goes thru Capital One's regular web site system. In the background, with Quciken's Web Connect feature, it logs into your Capital One website account, scours your account for any posted transactions, retrieves those transactions, and uploads them into your Capital One Credit Card account register.
