Incomplete download of American Funds 529
I thought I had figured out how to download my daughter's
American Funds 529 account transactions into moneydance but I only
got one of the funds downloaded. There are 7 funds in the account.
How do I download the others? Do I need to separate the account
into 7 separate ones?

I can second this one. Also an American Funds 529, mine has 5 funds. Only gets one of them.
I have the account in MD set up as one account (Am Funds 529) with 5 securities.

It seems to depend on the institution.
I know the OFX protocol supports mulit-account download and MD can handle them; I get transactions that way from two of my investment accounts, and ING bank, without problems. Some other institutions I use (JPMorgan Chase and Capital One, for instance) require each each account to be downloaded separately.

John,
I would try Mike's method, as it seems it's working well for him. If this doesn't work, do let me know and we'll look into other ways that this could be best dealt with.
Please let me know if I can be of further assistance, and thank you for your interest in Moneydance.

John, I see you’ve cross-posted your question. As I said in the other thread:
John, you were able to download your transactions for the one fund though? I’m not getting that far. In the setup, MD is communicating properly with American Funds to see all my funds (just so happens to be 7 funds as well). My password is accepted but then I get a server error:
The error code reported by the server was: 2000
Information for this account is currently unavailable. Please call an American Funds Service Representative at 800/421-0180 between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. Eastern time, Monday through Friday, for assistance.[3008]

Scratch my last statement. Key in my misunderstanding was that one has to set up all the securities in Moneydance first. After I did that, I was able to connect and download, but only one security. I’m having the same issue that the above posters had.
It seems that I can’t download the other funds. Or at least, it’s not directly intuitive to me how to do so.

Well, it's been months now since I first had this problem but I did resolve it. Now, to try to remember how! I believe I deleted the 7 funds I had entered and re entered them all as separate accts. When I download I need to put in the password 7 times but it does work.

Thanks, John. That's what I was afraid of! Shame that one account can’t download multiple funds.
How about it, Moneydance devs?

It's certainly an issue we are looking at for future versions of Moneydance. To get around the password entry issue, you could choose to encrypt your Moneydance file, which would then make it possible to store your passwords so you don't have to enter them each time. We know this is not a good solution for everyone, but it is a work-around until we get something better up and running.
I appreciate the knowledge you've all been willing to share about this sticky wicket, and I'll make sure to put it on our plate for the development meeting. Please let me know if I can be of further assistance,
