MD10 Reporting
Hi
Can anyone out there tell me what the new 'improved' reporting is
like?
Does it rely on tags? What are the tags like to use - i.e. have
they improved?
Is there a generic report creator so many seem to want? I doubt
it!
Is it possible to search across ALL / SOME accounts for an amount /
memo / category etc and produce a report with sub / full totals? I
doubt it!

I didn't see much change in build 701, but I saw elsewhere on this forum that they are still adding functionality to reporting, so I don't think we can judge yet.
Looks to me like they still have a long way to go.

It's true, we are still working on the Moneydance 2010 beta, and on the report functions. Keep checking back for new builds of the beta, and we'll post again on our blog in a few weeks with more details about the new builds.

I took a very quick look at build 701, and at first glance I saw nothing different about the graphs and reports. They haven't even (yet) fixed the bug in the account balance graph that makes it show nonsense on investment accounts (known and reported > 3 years ago). Given that their time window for official release - Q4 of 2009 - is now half over, I am very concerned that either the release date will slip or that the changes will be mostly if not all cosmetic. Or both.
