After setting up mortgage account, current balance is $0.00

Sir,

I think I have a basic lack of knowledge on how loans and mortgages should be set up in MoneyDance.

I've set up a mortgage account and when I view the account, all information looks correct. The principal remaining is correct, the number of payments matches what I entered, etc. When I look at the accounts on the left side of the screen to view current balances. the balance on this account is $0.00. I would expect this number to be what I owe on the loan.

I have not transferred the amount of this loan to another account and I think that may be part of my problem. I've attached a screen shot of what I see. Can you answer my question or point me to where it may be answered?

   Hi Craig,
   I can reproduce this behavior if I mark the account as 'Inactive'.
   Is it possible that you've inadvertently done so?
