In earlier, closed, discussions the question is how to transfer securities from one broker to another broker in Moneydance. If the transfer is everything in the account or if the broker is bought up and changing names, another way is to edit the name of the Account in Moneydance to reflect the new name. In the Comments section record the prior Account name and prior account number. It is possible to have a series of buy outs over time without transfer.

    Hi

I think your approach is perfectly reasonable. I don't actually see a question in your post. Are you simply providing this as information for other users?

    Thanks
There is no question. Sorry I was not clear. This suggestion works when everything in one account is moving to another. Put simply, edit the name of the account to the new one.
