Print register -- modify columns

Is it possible to change the layout when printing the register? For example, I do not need to show the account column for each transaction (it is always the same and takes up a lot of room). Also the column headings do not line up well with the information below. Much as I was unhappy with Quicken Essentials I was able to generate much nicer reports and registers.

    I think one of the things that would help the appearance of the printed register would be to center justify some of the info (such as check # and cleared) so that it aligned better with the heading.

    Also, I am printing the register for the last quarter to give to our accountant. At the end of the register it displays the current balance which includes transactions from the current quarter. I think this is unnecessary and confusing.

    Rather than printing the register I recommend running a transactions report on the account of interest.

    Select Tools->Graphs and Reports,,,
    Select the Transactions report from the list of reports.
    Select the account of interest in the report options and click generate.
