Easily distinguishing account and security values on home page
I recently downloaded the trail version of MD and spent yesterday inputting data. So far so good. As a previous Quicken user, I greatly appreciate the lack of advertising within the program and not being left in the cold if I don't "upgrade" on a regular basis!
My only gripe is that when I look at Investments on the home page, it's hard for me to easily distinguish the value of securities (mutual funds) within an account from the overall account value because everything -- total and subtotals for each security -- is listed identically in one column. I find it annoying that the numbers in that column don't add up to the total at the bottom. Although it's not rocket science to figure out what is what by looking at the identifying names, those names are listed far away on the left . As things stand now, the easiest way for me to distinguish the total amount in an account from the value of each security within that account is to look for the number of shares, which is listed closeby to the left of the security value for securities and not listed at all for the account's total value. In other words, I need tell myself: "If the number of shares is listed, I'm looking at a security. If not, I'm looking at the total." This is clunky and, besides, I don't really want to see the number of shares on the home page (my less rely on it as a crutch); all I really want to see are totals and subtotals, easily distinguishable..
A simple fix would be to allow the values of securities within an account to be indented, put in a different font, or otherwise easily distinguished from account totals. Is there a way to do this? Can I customize the home page other than hiding stuff (which would be a rather draconian fix)?
Sorry if this comes across as whining. Overall, I very much like your product.
Thanks.

Doug
Next to each account name in the Home page window is a - sign. Click this and the individual securities will scroll up.

That's perfect, simple and ... obvious in hindsight. Thanks for your patience in teaching a rookie. Your customer service rocks!
