I run Moneydance 2011r2 (803). In previous versions of Moneydance when I would perform a search in an account the balance total would reflect only the transactions for what I searched. For example, I could search in my checking account for "phone" and when the search was done with all transactions that had "phone" in it the balance on the right would reflect only those transactions. This seems to have disappeared. One, I would like to request this feature be restored and two, can I get that information another way?

    Hi clarkssnow,
Although, the right-hand column running balance does not coincide with the search results, I believe that the balance in the lower right-hand corner does. It may be expressed as a negative number.

Edit: If you would like to also have a running balance, try out the Transactions Filter Report.

This still works for me. Are you looking at the Total number in the balance box in the lower right hand corner of the screen? I just tried it searching my Credit Card acct and I manually summed all the displayed transactions and they added up to the total in that box. (Note that the running total in the Balance column doesn't show this total; it's just the balance box at the very bottom of that column.)

    I'm running Moneydance 2011r2+ (805) on Mac OS X 10.5.8 Java: 1.6.0_26 (Apple Inc.)
