Default category question

Hi all, I have a question about default categories for accounts. Is it possible for a bank account to have a default category of a different bank account? When I go to the "edit account" screen, the only categories that I can select are income and expense accounts. Here's why I ask:

In my implementation of the envelope budgeting system (documented here if you're interested), my sub-accounts for our checking and savings accounts serve as our virtual envelopes. When I pay for something, I transfer money out of the appropriate virtual envelope and into another account that holds the credit card payment. Since I'll still be using a credit card all the time, the default category for all my envelope accounts should be the holding account for the credit card payment, which is another bank account.

Any suggestions?

This can't currently be done with the existing version of Moneydance. I have created a suggestion ticket proposing this change and attached it to this discussion. You post has counted a s a vote for the ticket.

Please add my vote to this. Other than my chequing account, every single transaction in every other account is a transfer.

Please add my vote to this as well. I have an account where every payment out is to another account
