Hi;

I noticed that my Bank of Montreal acct has a number of transactions missing after a import into md from .ofx or .qif (i have tried various file formats.) I use web download and it appears that a number of bank transactions from mid-May to june don't appear (though one or 2 do)-after that it appears the import is accurate. I set the pref under matching to only 0 days apart that does not seem to fix it.

Using MD 751 on a Mac

Appreciate any help....

Thanks
Mac

    Hi mac.steele,
    I don't think this is a Moneydance issue.
    Usually, most financial instutions will make available 90 days worth of data for web downloads. The fact that you received ANY txns. as far back as May is unusual.
    You may need to recreate any earlier txns from your bank statements, if you want them as part of your Moneydance data file.

    Mac,

    Kevin's advice is sound. It is possible to open these files using a text editor (such as Notepad or the like), which would help you to determine if these transactions are in the file and Moneydance isn't processing them properly, or if the issue is on the bank's side. Good luck, and please let me know if I can be of further assistance,

    Hi

    Thanks

    I tested some downloads specifically in the date range I am missing in
    CSV format and opened it in excel

    Looks like there must be a 2 month limit ..

    Though I will check with my bank

    Thanks so much for the quick reply

    Mac
