split transaction not showing at top of category list
i already enteed a transfer from son's account to my checking for $60. Decided later I wanted to do a split transaction so I could show what that $60 reimbursed me for. I read that the split transaction category was at the top of the category list but it is not there. I do see it only when I enter a new transaction. Isn't there a way to "correct" the old entry?

You should be able to add a split to an existing transaction by double-clicking the transaction to put it in edit mode. Then go to the category field and click on the double arrows at the right of the box to get the drop down menu. At the top of the menu there is a Split button. Click that button and the Split dialog box will open.

Also when in the edit mode you can chit crtl-L to bring up the split box.
