Investment Account Interest paid - How to enter

I have investments accounts the pay interest on the Cash balance. How do I enter that. All the choices for Action require a Security but the Xfr. But it requires an account to transfer from but you can't pick the same account you are in. Does one have to set up a Dummy account that you show as a transfer account?

    You almost have it. Action is Xfr, and you use an income category (not an account) as the other side. The built-in category Investment:Interest Received might do for the category, or you can make one up.

    Thanks, For some reason I kept thinking it had to be an account that it was transferred from.
