I have encountered this same issue. I click on the MD icon in
the dock. It bounces once. Nothing happens. I have to Force Quit
the (Not Responding) application. I go to Applications in a Finder
window and click on the icon for MD. It loads just fine. The next
time I use the icon on the Dock, everything works as it should. I
don't have an explanation. I do know that I will encounter this
problem when I am in a hurry and have only a minute to get what I
need from MD :-)

It seems likely that the dock icon is still associated with
Moneydance 2008. To fix this issue, delete the dock icon for

correct icon shows up in the dock) and Ctrl+click to add the icon
to the dock.
Please let me know if your issue persists and we will look into
I've only just stated using Moneydance and I can load it from
the dock if I'm careful. If you accidentally double click it
doesn't load and stops responding and you have to "force quit".
I haven't notice this with other applications but the double click
is a difficult habit to break as a recent (very happy) convert from
