Wells Fargo
I have always had issues doing online banking between Moneydance and Wells Fargo. It has stopped letting me connect for the last two days. Is there a problem with this bank and your services??

Can anyone tell me how to bypass Wells Fargo security....
I use Wells Fargo Billpay to schedule a credit card payment on a usa server and I tried to login the next day to see the status of the payment but the message I get..............>
[ Error You do not have any accounts available for online access. Please call 1-800-956-4442. Online Brokerage customers please call 1-877-879-2495. ]
I know the fault Is I didn't pass the level of security Wells Fargo offers to protect online banking. I tried to use openVPN and a sock 5 to pass the level of security but still get the same error message. What eles can I do to.....I will appreciate your help.
my email and phone number is ***@yahoo.com, 206-339-8599.

I, too, am trying Moneydance for the first time and am unable to execute online bill pay with my Wells Fargo account. I have been a long time user of Quicken for PC and have years of successful bill pay experience with Wells Fargo accounts. Paying my bills electronically and being able to reconcile accounts online is an essential part of any money management software that I will purchase. It seems to be a shortcoming of the number of Mac money managent products that I have tried that these features are not available. I look forward to hearing from anyone who has a solution to this very vexing issue. Thank you
Rusty

It's a bummer for sure Rusty, and no one seems up for the challenge.

Hi All,
A number of issues with Wells Fargo Bill Pay have been resolved in the upcoming Moneydance 2011 release. We'd like to make sure the fixes we implemented work, so if you are willing, could you install the preview release and test it out for us? You can download the preview from our website at: http://moneydance.com/preview/

I'll QA it Jessica. Are there any pot holes I need to look out for?

Jessica - it is not working unfortunately. I would prefer to take this offline from a public group as we troubleshoot.

Hi Eric,
It would be great if you could send me logs. Just send them to ***@moneydance.com, flagged with my name, and I'll continue troubleshooting with you in a private discussion.
Here's how to get the logs:
1) In Moneydance, click on the Help menu and select the Console Window option. This will open the console messages window.
2) While the Console Window is open, attempt to connect to your bank. Any error messages should be recorded to the Console.
3) Select all of the text in the Console and use the Copy to Clipboard button at the bottom to copy the text.
4) Paste the text from the message window into a text file (preferably saved with a .txt extension) and attach that file to your response here.
The debugging logs that this produces will contain your account information. To be safe you should redact any account info in the debug logs. Just replace it with something like ACCOUNT NUMBER HERE and it should be fine.

hey jessica. for some reason when i put in my wells fargo bill pay pin number into moneydance, it is not connecting and says it is wrong. i am afraid to try it again because the last time i did that with moneydance, wells said i had too many failed attempts and they had to physically mail me a new pin - meaning i was unable to use quickin for about 5 biz days. wells will not give you a pin over the phone or email - they insist on mailing it to your home address.
i just cant risk that again right now, and i know the pin is correct because i kept the paper they sent me the last time. so i guess i am not going to be able to qa this for you guys. keep working the bugs and i will keep a look out for when you guys have this working. excited to leave quicken.

I am happy to say I have installed Moneydance again, and I am connected to Wells Fargo, downloading transactions and paying bills. This is really great because quicken 07 for mac will not work on the new OSX Lion.
I will say I have not had a bill clear yet that was paid using Moneydance but it appears to look as it will.
