Check printing

I cannot get my Intuit checks aligned. I can successfully get each field aligned for the first check on each 3 check-to-a-sheet standard check page, but the other two checks are progressively more vertically out of alignment. Moving the top and bottom page margins only makes the misalignment worse. It seems that the default check size set up by MoneyDance does not match these checks, and I can't see any way to correct it.

    Hi, Steve,
If you go to Preferences>Check Printing and select your check style, you'll see the sample check page on the left and then all the numbers on the right. I printed the default values for checks with stubs and compared it to a blank. Did you notice that when you play around with the values, they will move on the sample check? This will give you an idea of what direction you're going when you move the numbers. It took me a few tries with blank paper until I had them lined up to my liking.
Looking at my values, my top, left and right margins are all at zero.

I use Intuit checks with Moneydance (standard size checks) and they work fine. I'd suggest just continuing to experiment with the various fields. I can't remember at this point how I got it to work, because it was a while back.

    Steve,
It's a little hard to guess at this without being there to actually mess with the printing but here's my shot at it.
You mentioned that when you mess wit the top and bottom Margin settings it gets worse. After you change the margin settings you may need to once again tweak your specific settings on where things go on the checks, have you tried this yet?
Moneydance should be able to handle any reasonably size check so my belief is that with tweaking it should work out.
Sorry that I may not be more helpful but if you have any more info for me to think on I would definitely love to help you get this sorted out.

I am also having check-printing issues. I have standard business size, 3-to-a-page checks that I have always used with Quicken. I saw another thread where someone asked about printing business checks and was told it couldn't be done with MD, but someone else said to use the voucher setting. The voucher setting can be calibrated for the check to print, but I can't totally eliminate both vouchers, which is where there are two more checks. If I could completely eliminate both vouchers, I could print checks one at a time. Any suggestions? Any info on when MD will support standard 3-to-a-page business size checks?

Like I said above, I already use Intuit's standard 3-to-a-page business size checks with Moneydance, and they work fine.

But how did you calibrate that to work so that you don't get the vouchers? Do you print one check at a time?

Under the "Check Printing" preference pane, there's a "Standard" option, which is for three checks to a page without vouchers. I don't see why you would want to use the "Voucher" setting.

Got it now. Thanks. Didn't see the option for removing the address on the standard checks. With that gone, it's just a matter of re-calibrating for the larger size of the business checks.
