Each time I close the Moneydance (MD) file I get an error message indicating MD has an error backing up the file. I tested this by moving a MD file on my laptop running High Sierra to my iMac running Mojave. No error on High Sierra but error on Mojave. I noticed that the MD version on Mojave is 1850 while the one on High Sierra is 1847.

    Hi John,

I run MD 1850 on both High Sierra & Mojave & just for fun on Mavericks. I don’t see any issues when Saving. In fact I would go so far as saying I have never seen such an issue in all the years I have been using MD.

What happens if you do a Manual Save. File > Export backup, rather than letting the program save on exit?

Have you tried creating a New Temp MD Data Set via File > New, put a few dummy transactions in & see if you still have a Save issue?

That’s a good starting plan to trouble shoot your Mojave issues.

The saving issue cleared itself up. No problem now.
