Recover Moneydance

Hi, I hav been using Moneydance for years and love it. Recently my main computer has been running slow and Moneydance in particular. I have another laptop that I would like to switch to to overcome this problem. Is there a way to move access my Moneydance transactions from my laptop when my main computer is running slow.

    Hello,

    Yes, this can be done. Can you please go to Help -> Console Window from the Moneydance menu bar, look at the first line of the output, and let me know the exact version of Moneydance you are using?

    Greg, Lets be clear, in this case you want to move the date completely off the main computer and solely onto the lap top. It seems like there are "times" the main computer is slow and times it is not and you want to move back and forth?

    2018 data entered, but program does not pick it up.
    purchased program in 2011 and have licence key.

    Jim, if you have a separate problem then start another thread. It doesn't seem that this is a related issue. When you submit a problem give versions of the program and your OS as very helpful information. Also a more clear description of your problem.

    Money dance 2011r2 (803)
    License key: [removed by support staff]

    Data was entered throughout 2018 but program does not now pick it up.

    We tried to update by purchasing new version online.
    When we try to use it, it apparently is not registered and the data entered does not show.
    Do not know how to register.

    Some people have found jumping over so many versions does not work well. They have taken the long road, version by version, installing each version in turn, using it to import there data and the moving on to the next version.
