No longer connects to financial institution online (Chase)

Has been working perfectly for months.

Today, when I attempted to download online transactions, Moneydance failed silently, no transactions were downloaded. When I then closed Moneydance, froze on the backing up screen.
contents of errlog.txt for this part:

FI refresh is forced
Initializing Moneydance SSL
Created new custom trust manager

Beginning shutdown process waiting for background tasks to complete... Killed

I then tried the following:
I went to Online -> Set up online banking -> Change -> Next (I left it selected on chase). Moneydance froze on "Retrieving financial institution profile.

FI refresh is forced
FI refresh is forced
FI refresh is forced
Initializing Moneydance SSL
Created new custom trust manager

Moneydance -v gives:

    Having the same problem with Chase. Not sure if I have the problem with CItI as bill hasn't arrived.

    Same issue with Chase. started today. Getting this error:

    Bank Name: Chase
    Account: Chase Checking
    Account Number: XXXXXXXX

    There was an error communicating with the server. This could be the result of a network problem, or the server may be offline or not responding. Please try the operation again later.
    Error Description: Operation timed out (Read failed)

    Yeah, I have a bad feeling that Chase moved to a different authentication and Moneydance will have to do some change to support it. Can someone from Moneydance please confirm it?

    "So far, Capital One, Chase Bank, Wells Fargo, Bank of America, and Citi have agreed to move toward a better connection for QuickBooks customers. As we have exact dates and timelines available for each FI, we will update here with more information. We aren't looking to stop with just these FI's so stay tuned!"

    Hi all,

    Sorry to hear about the problems you've encountered.

    We've tested our Chase connection and can confirm the connection does not appear to be operational. However, our connection information for Chase looks to be up to date.

    It's possible your bank have been performing maintenance on their OFX server and might have temporarily disabled the connection. We've been advised that Chase Direct Connect services are also not working with other programs like Quicken.

    We'll continue to monitor the situation and make any connection changes if necessary.

    Found this information from Quicken support related to the Chase direct connect problem.

    I'm having the same problem with Chase. I contacted support through secure message and they want me to call them. I am a little hesitant because of the Quicken white lie. What should I tell them when I speak to them?

    Wells Fargo downloading is not working either. is this a Moneydance issue or a Wells Fargo issue?

    I am still unable to download any files from Wells Fargo. Are other people experiencing this? This is day 4... arghh :(y

    I'm having the same problem with Moneydance. Can no longer download Chase credit card transactions. Had been working fine for years. Chase says they only support Quicken and not Moneydance.

    I'm having the same problem. Cannot do download of Chase dredit card transactions as I have been doing for years. Chase says they only support Quicken, not Moneydance. I can do manual downloads but that's inconvenient.

    just a user,

    Just FYI, my Chase Visa direct connect is working fine. No issues. I think you have to set your Chase account to allow software downloads. Possibly something changed.

    This i the second timeChase has failed in the last 60~90 days.

    Yep, direct connect is down, but manual download is still working.
