I tried to start Moneydance this morning and all I get is a white screen with the Moneydance Title at the top and a blank error box in the center of the screen,

Can't check the MD version I'm running but I know it is the current version. My OS Mac Mojave 10.4.

The last thing I did last night was set up the MD mobile app and configure it with drop box.

I looked at other threads with the same title but I can't find config, dict file. Might be a Windows thing.

Help would be apprecated.

Thanks,

Rick

Well, not sure what you have read in those other threads, but here is where you can find config.dict on MAC OS Mojave, deleting it may fix your problem.

    It's buried very deep down!

Open Up Finder, on the left-hand side find Machintosh HD, then go down via the following steps.

    > users > (your user name) > Library > Containers > com.infinitekind.MoneydanceOSX > Data > Library > Application Support > Moneydance

Under there you should see the config.dict file.

Send it to trash for now, but make sure you have your Licence Key to hand.

Try starting MD, it will default to its standard settings as though you had run the program for the very first time. It will also be in Demo mode until you enter your key.

MD will create a new config.dict file.

Hopefully, MD will now start as normal.
