Version 1691

When I manually update forex currency the table shows the new entry with todays date.
The summary page shows the revised value.
Note. Before entering the new value the previous value is in June.

I then closed down Moneydance and then reopen. The summary page shows the revised value entered but when I look at the history the last entry in back in June.

    Just another user

This sounds like its related to security history not being saved. I'm told build 1693 will fix when it's released.

    Hi Ian,

Sorry to hear you're encountering issue while using Moneydance. Moneydance 2017.8 (1693) is now available on our website here. This new build of Moneydance should address the problem. Can you try updating to the new version and let me know how you get on?

    Hello Ian O

Thank you. Downloaded and Installed build 1693. It did not resolve the
    issue.

Still not able to enter new exchange raters manually.  Also noticed that
the currency auto update from Yahoo timed out

Can't get currency updates from Yahoo anymore. Yahoo discontinued the service back in November.

    Hi sth,

Thank you.  That would explain one issue. I had not noticed Yahoo had
withdrawn the service as I had been manually adjusting  the currency's I
    am interested in.

Hopefully there will be fix soon for the saving of manual updated
    currency  to the history.

Manually updating has always been problematic. Make sure that you update the dated rate and update the "current value" at the top. When entering data be sure to type "enter" so that the cursor moves to the next line and the data is actually recorded.

That is all I got. Possibly Ian O. can give more help or get the developer to fix this.
