Check # Column

from you manual:
Check# Selecting the {Print} option will include that transaction when printing checks. Selecting the <Next Check#> option will
insert the next sequential check number for that account. To edit the options for this field, go to the Summary and open the
Account→Edit Account menu item.

I can't find -->Edit Account menu item

    You must be viewing the Summary Page.

    Have you tried restarting Moneydance?

    Okay, I've got it now.  I had to be on summary of accounts not on an
    account.

    Yep, you have to be on the Summary page.
