I have apple running 10.8 on a mac book pro. I have installed md many times now. When in the dock it just bounces. With it in the app folder it may or may not open if it does open it takes 6 mins plus to open

    Hi Edward,

    Do you have Sophos Anti-Virus installed? If so that may be causing the problem. There is a setting in Sophos that causes the program to scan inside archive files before opening them. Since Moneydance is a Java program, running involves a lot of archive (.jar) files. Scanning all of them can really slow down opening Moneydance. If you have Sophos, you can simply turn off this setting and Moneydance should open much faster.
