sorting categories
If I add a new category to the category list, it doesn't sort itself alphabetically in the list, but attaches itself to the end of the list. I can't see any sorting tool or anything in the forum to help with this.
Thanks

Hi Jim,
I'm not able to duplicate the issue you are seeing. Could you let me know what version of Moneydance you are using and what steps your are taking that cause the problem?

Thanks Jessica:
My version of Moneydance is 2011r2 (803)
If I add a category to my list of expense categories, it doesn't sort itself alphabetically. The new item, in this case 'fun and outings' attaches itself to the end of the list, as did 'haircuts' and 'newspapers'.
Here is a screenshot of what happens; Thanks, Jim

Hi James,
The use of a lower-case letter as the first letter of 'fun and outings', 'haircuts' and 'newpapers' relegates them to the bottom of the list. Try using capital letters as the first letter of those categories. They should then alphabetize as expected.
