calPastEventBG appears not to work in MD 2017

I like to have my calendar events normally set to green so the day appears green on the calendar and red if the event is past due. I have set calEventBG to green and calPastEventBG set to red but when an event is past due it stays green and does not change to red.

This was working in the older version that I just upgraded from.

I too wasn't able to have the calPastEventBG update to different color. Can you tell me which version you updated from, it would help the developers in solving this bug.

My previous version was 2011 and before that 2003.

I am so sorry, I passed this on to the developers but never started a bug ticket.

A bug ticket is now attached to this thread.

    This marked resolved.
If that's true what do I need to do to get the fix to the problem?

Not resolved. Please re-open the ticket. I set the past Event background to a light red but it still shows up as the green cal event background. See attached for 3 days on the calendar, yesterday, today and tomorrow with 2 events. BOTH are green.

These are bug tickets internal to the IK system. At the top of the page it shows that this is Issue #5289 and is still open. The discussion can be reopened by anyone, I think.

@jcf I was following up on this and it was supposed to be fixed but just got this note from the developer. "ah whoops... I think I fixed this in the 2019 codebase." So that will probably be where to see this. -Scott (not IK support but just a user)

    @sth
    What?
That means I will have to upgrade to 2019 to get the fix then.
Wounder how much that will cost me...... sigh......

    Thanks for the update.

Assuming you bought an earlier version than 2017 it will be half price. I figure that paying $25 every other year for the software is not a huge cost, about $1/month.

    My version is 2017.6.
So do I get a free upgrade then?
If so I may do it but if not I will skip it since MD does everything I need. This bug fix is a like to have not critical.

Whether you get a free upgrade depends not on the version you are running but the last version you actually purchased. So if you purchased MD 2017 then you should get a free upgrade when the next new major version is released, if you purchased MD 2015 or earlier then you would need to purchase an upgrade.
