I'm sorry, an error occurred: java.net.SocketException: Unexpected end of file from server
I receive this error message when trying to setup the Moneydance app. Please help.

Here are some specifics:
Using Moneydance 2011r2 (803)
Java Version: 1.6.0_29
Java Vendor: Apple Inc.

Is it a Java 6 problem?

Hi Brent,
Have you tried re-downloading the Moneydance installer? You may have gotten a corrupted copy of the file.
You can download it here:
http://moneydance.com/other
Just choose the right one for your particular OS.

It still shows the error.

It shows the error on all attempted installs of extensions.

Hi Brent,
it looks like something is interfering with Moneydance's ability to download and install the extension. If you have any firewalls or proxies on your network, please be sure that Moneydance is allowed to connect through them. You may want to try turning them off while installing the extension, just to see if that is indeed the problem.
