Dates "All" is not "All"
Just because I have this really really old investment when I ask for networth or investment performance and I ask for "All" dates it doesn't get all. This throws off the performance calculation.
"All" seems to be never before 12/31/1969. Now I have a transaction before then. The account is listed as starting before then. But it truncates. I assume all dates are kept correctly before that date since the register sorts correctly.

Does it work if you try custom dates?

STH,
Have you tried tweaking the "Start Date" of the account, which is usually by default set to 12/31/1969? To do this, go to Tools->Accounts, select the desired account, and change the "Start Date". Let me know if that helps, and if not we'll keep working on it.

Yes, custom dates work, but if I am trying for "all" then the current date has to keep being re-entered by hand. I want from a fixed date in the past to "today" and that is not an option with fixed dates.
I have an account that has a start date that is included in the report, but that does not seem to set the beginning date. By default the start date of an account is set to the current date which is not the 12/31/1969.

This has a bunch of accounts. At least one account has a start date of 8/22/1953 but the overall report still lists 12/31/1969 - 05/05/2013

I suspect the start date is using Unix time. The beginning of time (sometimes referred to as the epoch) in Unix time is midnight Jan 1st 1970 or (anything after 12/31/1969) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unix_time
I have filed a bug ticket however I am afraid it is a somewhat low priority. Not very many of our users have digital records from before 1970.
