All % in Portfolio Report
What is All % in the Portfolio Report supposed to represent? I assume it is supposed to be the Annualized Return over the life of the Security investment?
If that is correct, virtually all of my values are wrong. I have several securities that I bought in the last year of so, and they show a positive return for 1 year, "None" for 3 year and 5 year, yet show a [sometimes quite large] negative value for All %. Securities that show a positive value for Gains still show a negative in All %.
I'm suspicious that I have something set wrong, but I don't know what it is. And I did bring in a complete portfolio from Q2006, but even the new securities that I have purchased since using MD are wrong.

I think the All% column should represent what you said. I believe it's just wrong, and it is most wrong if you have held the security for less than a year. I believe the annualized ROI in the Investment Performance Report should be the same calculation as All% in the Portfolio Report. The Investment Performance report appears to be mostly at least close to correct, but... For example if you use "all dates", it uses a date range a year into the future and calculates return incorrectly. I also found that for securities that have a single initial purchase and only reinvested dividends after that, it is spectacularly wrong. These issues have been reported.

OK, support. The User Interface issues are important, but NOT as important as a basic investment parameter being wrong, and apparently not corrected for some time.

It may interest you to know that more people are interested in the various problems in investment performance reports in addition to the 4 watching this thread. See for example
http://help.infinitekind.com/discussions/questions/2767-portfolio-r... http://help.infinitekind.com/discussions/md2010-beta/108-incorrect-... (bug 3576) as well as others. These are all the same fundamental problem, incorrect investment performance calculations.
