MoneyDance 2011 no longer auto-calculates split amounts
Up to and including the MoneyDance 2011 Preview releases, you could open a non-split transaction in the Split editor, set the amount of the first split to (say) half the amount of the transaction. When creating the second split, MoneyDance would auto-calculate the remaining amount and pre-fill that as the amount of the second split.
In the MoneyDance 2011 final release, this feature has gone missing. New splits have no amount pre-filled.

I'm sorry for the delay. There were a number of technical issues that came up at the last minute that took longer than expected to resolve. However, I'm happy to say that we've just uploaded 2011r2 to our website and will be pushing it out to our updater shortly.
