Category view in the side-bar
MoneyDance Version 2011 - Preview 778
Apple Java Version 1.6.0_24
Mac OSx 10.6.7
I have a problem viewing the Category list in the side-bar on
the Home Page..... At the moment I can only view one main Category
Group and 3 of it's child Categories..
I can't see anymore than that in the Category view..
The Accounts (Banks) and Reports sections are behaving correctly
and showing ALL information..
Anyone else come across this...??

Ron,
To add categories to the sidebar, click the + button at the bottom of the sidebar. To delete categories or accounts from the sidebar, highlight the desired item and click the - button. Thanks for using Moneydance, and please let me know if I can be of further assistance,

I think you slightly mis-understood what I was trying to explain.......maybe I didn't explain it very well !!!!
I've been using MD for many years now both in Windows and now on my new Mac..
The side-bar Category "triangle" was not responding to the mouse as it used to do in the previous versions of MD, the little triangle would not "twist".....
However, I added another complete Category list to the side bar which in turn created a second Category list..
I then removed (deleted) the first "offending" PART Category list leaving me with the second complete list...... that seems to have "cleared" whatever the problem was originally........ the little triangle is now behaving "normally" and responding well to the mouse clicks either hiding or exposing the FULL Category list

I haven't been able to reproduce the problem you have described. If the problem occurs again please let me know.
I believe that the two category lists in the side bar are organized such that there is one list for expense categories and one for income.
