saving

Not sure what i did. Now the program will not save when i go to file >save
I get "error saving file:java.io.filenotfound exception: C:/programfiles (x86)\Moneydance.md (access is denied)

I just want to save the file...

    I just posted a new discussion on this as I missed this entry earlier. I'm having this same problem/same java script error message, and can't figure out how to resolve it. What did you do? Thanks!

    actually, my error message is a bit different:
    java.io.FileNotFoundException: /Applications/_moneydance_personal.md (Permission denied)

    Hi Gine

    The problem is that you don't have write permission to the place you are tying to save the file to. Save the file to your Documents folder instead. Run Moneydance and select File->Save As... to save it somewhere else.

    Thanks, Ben. Not sure why the save location got changed as I didn't do anything differently, except for downloading new software updates on my Mac...weird, but very helpful! I'm back in action. Thank you for your prompt response! This public discussion/help forum has helped me out a few times now - great resource!
