We have been successfully communicating between Money Dance and our bank (Hinsdale Bank & Trust) for many months. Today, when we tried to sync with the bank we received the following error message:

Error Description: javax.net.SSLException:Received fatal alert protocol_version

Please advise what we should do to reestablish successful communications.

Thanks

Mike & June Ellen Groppi

    Hi Mike,

Sorry to hear of the issue you have encountered while using Moneydance. I've checked our Hinsdale Bank & Trust connection and it appears to be operational in the latest version. Can you let me know the version of Moneydance you are using? You can check this detail within Moneydance by navigating to Help --> About Moneydance.

Thanks, Ian. We have a few questions:

      1. Which version did you test? 2017.7?
      2. We have 2014. The web site references a “key” for our existing version we can use to upgrade for half price. Where do we find the key?
      3. How do we insure that we do not lose any data during the upgrade? Is there a process for backing up that you recommend we follow?

My credit union AffinityPlus changed its web site and now Money Dance will not connect nor even set up a new connection. This is the message I receive.

There was an error communicating with the server. This could be the result of a network problem, or the server may be offline or not responding. Please try the operation again later.
