Error 2000 is fairly generic but often means that you accounts have not been set up to allow for direct connect.
Direct connect works using a client/server model with moneydance being the client and a computer system at your bank acting as the server, it is generally a separate system to your banks internet banking systems. In many cases it requires following a process to have your accounts enabled for this system and this varies from bank to bank, if you state what bank a fellow user may be familar with the process.

Sorry to hear of the issue you have encountered while using Moneydance. dwg is correct, the error you are getting is a fairly generic. Error 2000 usually relates to a couple of things, either Direct Connect services are not enabled correctly on the banks or the credentials being used to connect are incorrect. It may be worth contacting your bank to ensure everything is set up correctly.
If you let me know the bank you are trying to connect with, I will double check our connection information to ensure there is nothing amiss from a Moneydance perspective.
