A wiki for extension development
On a separate thread I suggested that certain things should be specified in a document somewhere.
In my opinion, the best place for this type of info is in a wiki. A user forum like this one is good for certain things but for knowledge sharing a wiki is a far better choice. Is this something that MD could set up?

I support the creation of a wiki for sharing extension development knowledge.

Hi Kevin and Mark,
I think that's a great idea. We're about to make some upgrades to our web server, and after that might be a good time to set up a new wiki. I'll talk to Sean about it.

Hi all,
Good news! We're currently in the process of moving our source repositories (both public and private) to Bitbucket. It turns out that Bitbucket comes with a wiki attached to each project. So, we're going to start using the wiki attached to the open-source Moneydance extensions for more through extension dev docs. You can start editing it now even. Just sign up for a free Bitbucket account to edit the wiki, which is located at: https://bitbucket.org/sreilly/moneydance_open/wiki/
There's nothing there at the moment, but once we finish moving our code over we'll start also moving documentation from the current developer site. Thanks for the well-timed request! We might not have thought about using the Bitbucket wiki without it. :-)

just installed the python ext. & tried 2 find example scripts...is there a repository somewhere?
Support Staff 8 Posted by Angie Rauscher on 23 Jun, 2012 04:05 PM
Tewible,
I've attached 4 scripts. BE CAREFUL- they do what they say they do and running some of them will wipe out a bunch of your online banking connections and/or security associations. For example- Remove all services will wipe out ALL your online banking connection. But as teaching tools they're pretty cool.
To anyone who is not familiar with Python who runs across this thread searching for a solution to a particular problem- DO NOT USE any of these scripts unless instructed by a Moneydance Support team member. Please start a new case thread so we can provide you with targeted assistance.
Tewible, good luck writing your scripts, and please let me know if I can be of further assistance,
Angie Rauscher

2ible,
There are Python scripts at http://moneydance.com/developer look in the upper right hand corner for links. My primer there is important too - the Jython interface is problematic.
BTW, there's not need to abbreviate to, two, too, or at with digits or punctuation. Computers can handle English these days
