Bug with new Dropbox sync?

I tried the following after enabling Dropbox sync on both the Mac desktop client and on my iPhone (started with apps closed on both devices):

  1. Open Moneydance on iPhone
  2. Add transaction to a Credit Card account
  3. See sync in progress.
  4. Press home button on iPhone
  5. Open Moneydance on Mac
  6. See new transaction (and see that Moneydance has a "modified" file)
  7. Save in Moneydance on the Mac.
  8. Close Moneydance on the Mac
  9. Re-open Moneydance on the Mac
  10. Delete the transaction added in step 2
  11. Close Moneydance on the Mac (auto-save on close is enabled)
  12. Open Moneydance on the iPhone
  13. See sync happening in status bar at the botton
  14. Open account and see deleted transaction is still there.

    Hi Ed,
    It may be that the mac moneydance didn't have time to push the update to dropbox before exiting. If you start moneydance on the mac again and let it run for over 30 seconds and then open the iPhone app it should get everything into sync.

    Can you let me know if that doesn't happen?

    Thanks Sean - it does indeed work like you indicate. After starting Moneydance back up and letting it sit for about 30 seconds or so, it appears to sync the changes and the iPhone and iPad pick them up as expected.

    Any chance of the desktop app forcing a sync to dropbox before the app exits? If I make several changes and then exit the app on my Mac, when I go to reference them from an iPhone, it will be confusing/frustrating to not see them there, and that my balances will be inaccurate until get back to the back my Mac and run the app for a bit.

    Dropbox sync works with iPad but not iPhone???

    i tried the "wait" reload app solutions suggested - but still only get the message "Locating Moneydance Sync Files" on iPhone app????

    I got a window for entry of dropbox password with iPad first initialization - but not with iPhone??

    well I deleted the iPhone app, then re-installed it and now I got the window asking for the dropbox password - and it works!!!

    Sorry to have bothered with the post, I should have tried deleting and re-installing first.
