Balances Don't Match

I've been using Moneydance since September, changing from Quicken and find it very useful. I also like the iPhone App. Synchronization seems to work easily and accurately except that the App balances do not match the balances on my Mac.

Any thoughts?

    Jimolivi,

There are a few possible causes of this issue. One is that the balances on the iPhone app include ALL transactions currently displayed in the transaction register, regardless of if they occur in the future. Another is that the balance which you have selected to be displayed in the sidebar or homepage may be a different "Type" than that used by the app (which uses the "Balance"). You can see the types of balances in the Moneydance 2011 user guide here.  To change which balance type is displayed on the sidebar or homepage, edit your preferences.

I hope this helps, and please let me know if I can be of further assistance,

Is there a way to change what "balance type" displays on the iPhone app? I understand how this works on the computer, but it would be nice if I could see current balance instead of ending balance on my phone.

    Thanks!

No I am afraid there there is not an option to change the balance type shown on the mobile app. It has been suggested before and I imagine we will get it into a future release.

Being able to show current balance on the mobile app rather than including all futures transactions would be a great feature. Any update on when it might become available?
    Thanks

There is an existing suggestion ticket for this feature, but I am afraid that I am unable to give a timeline on its implementation.
